No ano de 1991, Tina Turner lançou sua primeira coletânea oficial, intitulada Simply the Best. Além de hits como "The Best", "I Don't Wanna Lose You", "We Don't Need Another Hero (Thunderdome)" e "What's Love Got to Do with It", esse disco trouxe uma nova versão para a canção "Nutbush City Limits" mais as inéditas "Way of the World", "Love Thing" e "I Want You Near Me".
